Animal Charities
Animal Alliance of Canada (AAC)
Animal Alliance of Canada is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit organization. Since charities are substantially restricted in their ability to lobby, we chose to register as a not-for-profit. In this way we can talk to voters and pressure politicians, who are the gate-keepers of all legislation affecting animals and the environment.
Animals Asia
Animals Asia is devoted to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. We promote compassion and respect for all animals and work to bring about long-term change in Asia, through our work to end Bear Bile Farming and our Cat and Dog Welfare and Animal Sentience & Welfare programs.
Animal Justice
Animal Justice leads the legal fight for animals in Canada. Our lawyers work to pass strong new animal protection laws, push to hold industries accountable for abusing animals, and fight on behalf of animals in court.
Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada
The AWFC encourages people to place a priority on the physical, psychological, and behavioural needs of all animals used in research, education, and in agriculture, as well as companion animals and wildlife. In other words, the AWFC seeks to change the way that Canadians think about using and caring for animals.
Canadian Coalition for Farm Animals
(CCFA) is dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals raised for food in Canada through public education, legislative change and consumer choice. The goals of the Canadian Coalition for Farm Animals (CCFA) are:
To educate Canadians about the realities of factory farming and its impact on animals.
To promote more humane consumer choices.
To achieve legislated changes such as video surveillance in slaughterhouses and improved transport trucks.
The humane treatment of factory-farmed animals is an issue that is gaining momentum within the public realm. CCFA supporters are concerned about the plight of these farm animals in Canada and worldwide and are interested in effective change.
Canadians for Ethical Treatment of Farmed Animals Foundation
We work to advance education by conducting research on best practices related to animal agriculture and other issues related to the welfare of farmed animals, in order to improve current understanding and encourage the adoption of better standards for farmed animals, and by disseminating the results of that research to the public.

No To Dog Meat
NoToDogMeat is a pioneering movement that opposes the cruel slaughter of all animals for food, fur and ‘traditional’ medicine. NoToDogMeat was founded by Julia de Cadenet, a dual-qualified activist lawyer who witnessed first-hand the horrors of the live meat markets in China in 2009. She began by lobbying for the rights of dogs in South Korea in the UK Parliament and pushing for the closure of Moran Market in Seoul, where one dog dies every 13 seconds and torture is commonplace.

Wildlife SOS
The primary reason for the founding of Wildlife SOS has been to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in distress in both urban and rural environments. Wildlife SOS rescues a number of orphaned, injured, and displaced wildlife found in cities and locations from wherever they work in India. Injured animals are given medical treatment and many are released back into the wild. Where this is not possible, permanent homes are provided for the animals at one of our many rescue facilities.
